Standalone Selling Price Overrides on Contracts
October 14th, 2026
You can now set a line's standalone selling price (SSP) through declared_ssp when creating
contracts, instead of using the product's SSP. Send a monetary amount with amount and currency.
POST /contractsaccepts overrides forFULLandREVENUE_RECOGNITION_ONLYcontracts.
ForFULL, the value is per unit in the line price's billing interval. For
REVENUE_RECOGNITION_ONLY, it is the item's total standalone value.POST /draft-contractsandPUT /draft-contracts/{draft_contract_id}accept overrides for
FULLdrafts. The override is returned on draft responses and preserved when the draft is activated.- Omit
declared_sspor send null to use the product's SSP. Replacing a draft without the field
clears its override. Active contract updates cannot change SSP. - Contract responses return the saved override as
declared_ssp, preserving decimal precision.
The field is omitted when the product's SSP is used.
Overrides require SSP revenue recognition to be enabled and a fixed recurring or one-time product
included in SSP allocation. Values must be positive and use the line price's currency. Overrides
are not supported on usage prices, bundle lines, or invoice-based revenue drafts.
Applies to V4 only.
