Patches metadata on up to 1,000 invoices in one atomic request. Each invoice may receive
different values. If an invoice is missing or any key or value is invalid, nothing is
written for any invoice. Per invoice this behaves exactly like patch-invoice-metadata:
keys omitted for that invoice are left unchanged; null, empty, and whitespace-only values
clear that key.
